The 30th Group of Peace Corps Volunteers has arrived in Moldova

The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the arrival of the 30th group of U.S. Peace Corps Trainees to Moldova.  On Wednesday, June 3, at 12:00 pm, sixty-nine trainees arrived at Chisinau Airport.

Before beginning their service, the trainees will have a 10-week “Pre-Service Training,” to study Romanian or Russian, learn about Moldovan culture and have technical sessions.  After the training, the Volunteers will work in schools, community centers and business incubators throughout Moldova.  19 of the Volunteers will work in the field of English Education, 17 will serve as Health Education Volunteers, 16 will work in Small Enterprise Development and 17 of the Volunteers will work in Community and Organizational Development.
