Distinguished guests and returning soldiers, I stood before you with Minister Nosatîi on July 8 for your departure ceremony and I am pleased to stand here again with him to welcome you back. We have seen in the last six months, that the NATO-led KFOR mission was more complicated than ever as new tensions erupted in the region. Your contingent made important contributions to regional peace and security, and the experience you gained on this mission also enhances the professionalization of the National Army. Since 2014, the United States is proud to continue providing training, funding, and logistical support for your travel to Kosovo to carry out these missions as part of our ongoing partnership for a secure, democratic, and prosperous Moldova. Congratulations on a successful deployment!
