Announcing the annual Fulbright Specialist Program competition for local host institutions for the 2022

The U.S. Embassy in Chisinau is pleased to announce the annual Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP) competition for local host institutions for the 2022 fiscal year (FY 22).

The Fulbright Specialist Program offers Moldovan universities the possibility to invite U.S. professionals to share their expertise by collaborating on projects initiated by universities. Project activities may include, but are not limited to: teaching or training; developing curricula or teaching/educational materials; institutional planning; building capacity of faculty, administrators, or staff; delivering seminars or academic courses and conducting needs assessments for programs or institutions. The program accepts proposals in any field except English Teaching.

The length of a Fulbright Specialist project must be of a minimum 14 days and a maximum of 42 days, including travel days and weekends. The projects should have a start date no earlier than January 1, 2022.

Multi-Visit (Serial) projects: A Multi-Visit project is one in which a Specialist conducts more than one visit to the host institution for the purpose of necessary program evaluation or follow-up. A Multi-Visit project cannot include more than three visits in total, and all visits must not exceed six weeks (42 days) in total. In addition, each visit must be a minimum of 14 days. All visits must take occur within one-year period.

Please note that this program requires contribution from the host university by providing lodging, meals and local transportation expenses for the specialist. If a host institution is unable to provide the entire cost, it is encouraged to identify cost-share partners or request funding from the Embassy.
