American Film Days – April 19-22

The American Film Festival in Moldova has been a fixture of U.S. cultural diplomacy in Moldova since 2006, reaching thousands of Moldovans in the audience and thousands more through media coverage.

The program brings to Moldova the best of American film organized around annual themes. In previous years, this weeklong festival has included American musicals, westerns, comedies, classics, political and courtroom dramas, and more conceptual themes like people making a difference in their communities. This year, the annual event will celebrate Sports and the Human Spirit in its twelfth edition in Chisinau, Tiraspol, and will debut in Rybnitsa.

The Myrna Clayton Experience – May 27-30

Five member Jazz ensemble the Myrna Clayton Experience (Atlanta, Georgia), is led by “America’s Songbird” Myrna Clayton.  Myrna has performed across the world in Germany, France, Great Britain, Nigeria, Russia, and Belarus as well as across the U.S.  The Westside Winds 24-piece “big band” Jazz orchestra regularly features her.  The Georgia Council of the Arts recently recognized her on the “Georgia Artists” and “Georgia Teaching Artists” rosters.  Myrna offers master classes in vocal performing arts, including gospel workshops, jazz and scatting technique workshops, healthy voice clinics, and clinics specializing in music for people with disabilities.
