Moldovan government has declared a state of emergency in response to the COVID-19

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Moldovan government has declared a state of emergency.
Among other provisions, this allows Moldovan authorities to impose additional border controls, limit movement, prohibit large gatherings, manage food supplies, and coordinate media messaging about the pandemic.
While it is too early to know what measures will be taken, we do not believe U.S. Embassy operations will be affected at this time.
