The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce that funding is available through its AEECA/ESF Public Diplomacy Program. This is an Annual Program Statement, outlining our funding priorities, the strategic themes we focus on, and the procedures for submitting requests for funding. Please carefully follow all instructions below.
Purpose of Small Grants: Public Affairs Section invites proposals for programs that have the effect of strengthening Moldova’s information space. Examples of project ideas under this program include, but are not limited to:

Building the capacity of Moldovan partners to communicate an accurate message about Moldova’s European trajectory;

Academic, historic, and cultural research that promotes accurate information about Moldova’s past; and
-
Promoting Moldovan use of online platforms that provide a richer variety of information online about Moldova and the world.
Applicants are encouraged to develop partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including the public and/or private sectors as well as local organizations, where applicable.
Submission Dates and Times
The Public Affairs Section will review proposals according to the following schedule:

Proposals received between April 1 and April 30 will be reviewed by May 9, with responses going out by May 11.

Proposals received between May 1 and June 30 will be reviewed by July 3, with responses going out by July 6.

Proposals received between July 1 and September 1 will be reviewed by September 5, with responses going out by September 7.
Applications may be submitted for consideration at any time before the closing date of September 1. No applications will be accepted after that date.
