On October 20, Ambassador James D. Pettit hosted a roundtable to discuss the effects of trafficking and migration on children in Moldova. Key stakeholders in the anti-trafficking field representing the government, civil society, and international organizations attended the event. Marking the start of the Week to Fight Trafficking in Human Beings in Moldova, participants discussed the most challenging aspects of addressing children’s needs. They agreed to prioritize actions to be taken to improve the situation of children who are victims of the trafficking and migration phenomena.
