Special Advisor for Children’s Issues, Ambassador Susan S. Jacobs, Visits Moldova

Ambassador Susan S. Jacobs, the U.S. Department of State Special Advisor for Children’s Issues, is visiting Moldova December 10th to 12th to strengthen the partnership between the U.S. and Moldova under the Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Inter-Country Adoption.  Ambassador Jacobs will meet with Moldovan leaders, including Minister for Labor, Social Protection and Family, Mircea Buga.  During the visit Ambassador Jacobs will also tour the Municipal Placement Center for Rehabilitation for Young Children in Chisinau.

Ambassador Jacobs was appointed Special Advisor for Children’s Issues in 2010 by Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton. Ambassador Jacobs advances U.S. policy concerning international parental child abduction and inter-country adoption.
